(Primary Location for Job Responsibilities) Our Kennesaw campus is located at 1000 Chastain Road NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144.

Our Marietta campus is located at 1100 South Marietta Parkway, Marietta, GA 30060.

Job Summary

Manages staff, consultants, and partnerships while applying best management practices to all parking and transportation programs. Evaluates current resources, personnel, finance, facility, and capital and identify immediate and long-term needs. Develops plans to maintain or acquire necessary resources to ensure continued growth of Parking and Transportation departments. Supports the academic mission by balancing campus-wide needs with multi-model transportation and parking initiatives. Develops a comprehensive vision and mission that supports the University's environmental, social, and economic goals for parking and transportation sustainability.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Provides leadership and oversight of the assigned departments and staff
2. Oversees University's parking system, develops policies, pricing structures, special event parking operations, and parking permit requirements
3. Oversees the university's bus shuttle service including route planning, service hours, technology, sponsorships, charters, and policies and procedures
4. Researches partnerships that support operating a high-quality campus transit system
5. Manages finances for auxiliary and state appropriated budgets
6. Oversees and develops transportation demand management (TDM) programs that increase carpooling, car sharing, bicycling, bikeshare, pedestrian safety, and electric vehicle charging
7. Supports overall University transportation and sustainability objectives of reducing traffic congestion and parking demand
8. Collects and analyzes parking, transportation, and university data to assist with daily and long-range strategic planning
9. Provides leadership for parking operations, business process assessment, rules, regulations, training requirements, continuity of operation plans, and communication
10. Participates on university committees, conducts outreach with campus leaders to identify issues impacting the parking and transportation function and facilitate problem solving resolutions
11. Develops and implements short and long-term business relationships with strategic partners on and off campus
12. Promotes and enhances quality of campus life and safety through the delivery of quality programs and services
13. Establishes employee and departmental program goals, decide on organizational structure to meet goals, and assess employee and program performance including providing feedback and pay recommendations

Required Qualifications

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education in a related field

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Eight (8) years of experience in parking operations, transit operations, Higher Education operations, and/or closely related field, including at least four (4) years of managerial or supervisory experience.

MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW AND/OR INSTITUTION:
Current, valid, and unrestricted drivers license

Preferred Qualifications

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: (Preferred qualifications)
An advanced degree from an accredited institution of higher education in Business Administration, Public Administration, City Planning, or related field
American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP), Certified Administrator of Public Parking (CAPP), Certified Safety and Security Officer (CSSO), Certified Parking Professional (CPP), and/or Certified Auxiliary Service Professional (CASP)

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

ABILITIES
Able to handle multiple tasks or projects at one time meeting assigned deadlines

KNOWLEDGE
Well-versed and knowledgeable of laws governing education data (FERPA), financial data (GLB), and best practices in a higher education environment
Knowledge of citation system software, T2, or similar software
Knowledge of Change Gear or similar work order management systems

SKILLS
Excellent interpersonal, initiative, teamwork, problem solving, independent judgment, organization, communication (verbal and written), time management, project management and presentation skills
Proficient with computer applications and programs associated with the position (i.e. Microsoft Office suite)
Strong attention to detail and follow up skills
Strong customer service skills and phone and e-mail etiquette
